A path has been cleared through the ruins of what remains from the Castle of Shadows,
safe, although the rest of the ruins are still highly unstable and better to be avoided.

A hole in the ground reveals a set of stone steps, and after descending down them,
the curious finds him or herself in a tunnel, further progress blocked by a magical wall.

There is a note pinned up on a board, explaining what this is all about
and what lies beyond that magical barrier.

TUS - what is this about

The Underground Society is NOT a clan, understand this first of all.

This is a society of totally independent vampires, who will stay independent, even after joining the TUS. No one down in those tunnels and caves is obliged to do anything for anybody, but any member of our society can come and pin up a note, either to announce they have been attacked, or if they are planning an attack themselves (for whatever reason), to check whether others of the TUS are in the mood to grant their support.

We know no leaders, no ranks. We are not handing any freedom of decision over to anybody else. Each of us stays in control of his or her own destiny.
Some of us may care for city politics, others may not. Some of us may wear battlecloaks, are neutral, or are not cloaked at all, and some of us may rest whilst others do not. We are not conformed, we are not united, but we know where to come if we want to look for support - although whether we will find help in these tunnels or not, will depend on each and every member of this society individually. There are no guarantees for aid, but a case well stated, or a battle promising fun, may will get one the additional muscle one has been hoping for.

We do accept clanned vampires as members of our society, too, and representatives of clans are definitely welcome - also to pin up notes if they are looking for additional firepower in a war they are fighting.

We are not mercenaries either, members of TUS choose their battles according to their preferances, completely independent. There is no one down in these tunnels and caves who could be approached to have TUS strike as a unit, no warroom, no one organizing attacks, but individual members sorting such out with those they have decided to join in a fray.

Access to applicants in the future will probably be granted through vote, each member of the TUS having the same say with one vote per applicant. If the majority decides for an applicant, the vamp is in, if the vote goes against, access will not be granted. At present this system is not in place yet, but it may will come to it in the future. Presently though, access is granted simply by sending me the application below. We are still starting out and shall see how this will develop as it happens, but never will TUS become a clan. This is meant to be an alternative to being led, to being united, but still to offer clanless vampires a chance to find action in this city, as well as support.
